The Vienna based UKO brothers Martin and Jürgen Nußbaum have been working in the electronic field of music for over a decade now.

From their debut the variety of influences has been kept high: Funk and Soul meets Dub, Electronic meets Jazz – Digital meets Analog.

The relationship between picture and sound, in differently nuanced grades of fusion, forms the central nexus of their work and is omnipresent in various projects - through numerous releases, performances and remixes - for artists like Marcel Khalife, Sofa Surfers, Erik Sumo, Tosca, Waxos, Saint Privat, Karuan, Athana.Their tracks appeared on various compilations (Vienna Scientists, Cafe del Mar, Juke Joint), Filmsoundtracks (The Italian Job, Nachtfalter) and in the playlist of BBC Radiolegend John Peel, Gilles Peterson Worldwide Show, solid steel, Stereo MCs, Laurent Garnier, Groove Armada.

Their recent release (on 11/11/11 along with the reissue of their first album on their new own label UKOfm Rec.) 'The Sista Sadie Life Show' features their longtime companion Tania Saedi on vocals.

Earthiness and mysticism, melancholy and serenity all weave their way into this project’s complex sonic textures. For UKO, elegance and attack are no contradiction.
